halfwayThe Quest School of Wrestling is pleased to announce that the Nick Gavazzi, “Too Sweet Memorial Fund” is up and running.    The fund was originally established in April of 2015, with the goal to provide support to the Western Pennsylvania Wrestling community. The fund was established initially by Nick’s Family and the Quest School of Wrestling in remembrance of Nick, who tragically died in a car accident in February 2015. Nick’s family and his coach Jim Akerly, envision honoring Nick by growing this fund large enough to create a lasting impact in supporting the Western Pennsylvania Wrestling Community. What better way to remember Nick by honoring him while supporting the sport he loved!

Grants will be distributed directly from the fund, and will support local program and  individual need based requests. The Foundation of the Too Sweet Memorial Fund will be working hard to grow this fund. Anyone who wishes to make a “forever” impact on the lives of local wrestlers, may make a donation below link or a donation may also be made by sending a check made payable to the “Nick Gavazzi Fund” Attention: Too Sweet Foundation 387 McClane Farm Road, Washington, PA 15301.

Please let the Too Sweet Foundation know if contributions are “in memory” of someone and if you’d like the Too Sweet Foundation to notify the person’s family of your donation.

Ian Malesiewski is a 16 year old wrestler, who attends Coach Akerly’s alma mater, Cathedral Prep. More importantly he is a bright young local wrestler, who was injured in at the Fila Cadet Freestyle/Greco tournament in Akron, Ohio on June 3rd, 2016. Ian’s injury included broken bones in his neck along with spinal cord damage. He has a very long road of medical treatments and rehab to hopefully regain his mobility and strength. I ask that you please consider joining Quest for a great day of wrestling and show your support for Ian and the Malesiewski family. Tournament can be found here: Be a Dog Tournament

Ian became a big fan of a Coastal Carolina YouTube clip in which the coach kept referencing “Be A Dog” and thus the Be A Dog theme.
